Bra Size Calculator

Bra Size Calculator

Measure around your ribcage just under your bust (underbust) and around the fullest part of your bust.

How to Measure for Bra Size

Step 1: Measure Your Underbust

Wrap a measuring tape around your ribcage, just under your bust. The tape should be snug but not tight. Make sure it's parallel to the ground and take the measurement at the end of an exhale.

Step 2: Measure Your Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust while wearing a non-padded bra. The tape should be parallel to the ground and not too tight - you should be able to slide a finger underneath.

Step 3: Calculate Your Size

Use our calculator above to determine your bra size based on these measurements. The calculator will provide your size in multiple international sizing systems.

Understanding Bra Sizing

Band Size

The band size (30, 32, 34, etc.) represents the measurement around your ribcage. A properly fitting band should be snug and provide most of the support.

Cup Size

The cup size (A, B, C, D, etc.) represents the difference between your bust and underbust measurements. Each letter typically represents about 1 inch of difference.

Sister Sizes

Sister sizes have the same cup volume but different band/cup combinations. For example, 34C, 32D, and 36B are sister sizes with equivalent cup volumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I get measured?

It's recommended to get measured every 6 months or whenever you experience weight changes, pregnancy, or notice your current bras don't fit well.

Why do sizes vary between brands?

Different brands have different sizing standards and fits. Always try on bras when possible and refer to each brand's specific size chart.

Should I size up or down if I'm between sizes?

If you're between band sizes, try both. For cup sizes, consider your preference for coverage and the specific bra style. Sister sizes can also provide alternative fits.

What if my measurements don't match standard sizing?

Our calculator provides the closest standard size, but custom or specialty sizing may be needed for optimal fit. Consider professional fitting services for unique sizing needs.

Important Notes

This calculator provides size estimates based on measurements and standard sizing conventions. Bra fit can vary significantly between brands, styles, and individual body shapes. For the most accurate fit, we recommend professional bra fitting services and trying on different sizes and styles.

Remember that comfort and support are more important than the size label. The best bra size is the one that fits you comfortably and provides adequate support for your daily activities.
